Now I am from the north so I say pop. Just be honest, which do your prefer to call your soft drink?

I used to call it pop when I was little but now I call it soda. I had some friends growing up that called it sodie pop.

Where I grew up in the south, It was "coke" no matter what flavor..

"ya wanna coke?"

" Nehi Grape..." ( or purple Nehi....)

I've read an article on how people from differnt parts of the country have different names for certain things.  According to the article, generally people from the north and midwest say soda and people from the south say Coke or pop.  I'm originally from southwest VA and my parents say pop but I say soda.  Go figure.
