What's a Grand Background?

Question

I draw a ton, though I never draw backgrounds for some reason.. so when I put my sketches through photoshop.. I normally have to just make a multicolored background with photoshop itself.

So, I draw sort of the creeped out and macabre ordeals. What would be some grand background ideas?
