  1. Some computers come/w them but most don't...its a device that enhances video playback...most common use is games...full name is graphics acceleration card...most computers now use PCI-Express

older ones and "server" models use other types like PCI and AGP

so check your mobo to see which one it takes befor getting one.

And you may need a power supply increase befor you can use one.

To see if this is true go to...

A great G-card ...the 8800 and a new P/S unit will cost about

$150.00 (if you need the new P/S) $100.00 if not

  2. Peripheral Component Interconnect Express, officially abbreviated as PCI-E or PCIe, is a computer expansion card interface format introduced by Intel in 2004. PCI Express was designed to replace the general-purpose PCI expansion bus, the high-end PCI-X bus and the AGP graphics card interface. Unlike previous PC expansion interfaces, rather than being a bus it is structured around point-to-point serial links called lanes

    Good Luck!

  3. To enhance and speed up graphics on your pc, your computer uses a graphics card. Previously, it used to be AGP. Now the latest thing is PCI-E or PCI Express

  4. ur comp. has ports or slots...pci and pci-e

pci-e are commonly for Graphics card...u'll see on there, supports pci-e

    for pci-express
