  1. This one is easy. Choose whichever legal field you find the most interesting. You will always be more successful in a field that you enjoy -- and that's true regardless of what "color" you are. A sanitation engineer who enjoys his work will usually end up much more successful (and that includes having more money) than a lawyer who hates working as a lawyer.

If you're not already in a law school, I agree with the person above who mentioned the military. If you're a college graduate and can qualify, and can "cut the mustard" as an officer candidate, are accepted to a law school and are willing to take on a six-year commitment to work as a military lawyer after graduating, you can probably have the government pay for your tuition and all expenses at law school, while giving you a salary to boot!

Plus, as far as the potential for advancement is concerned, the American military services are probably the most "colorblind" professional organizations in the world.

  2. International Law for me - Learn another 2 languages - The US. DEPT of State is always looking - Or the FBI. - Or Criminal Law and the Military ( Join the few, the good ), a full Captains Rank w/ the US MARINES and assigned to the Adjutants General Office in D.C .- Not bad -

  3. Criminal Law you will make at least $100k a year with your own practice. International Law in the military has a lot of perks, but the pay sucks. A captain right now makes $3407.40 a month.
