  1. Your question should read,

"What's the BEST degree: physics, engineering, or engineering physics?"

You are torn AMONG all of them.

A "Jack of all trades" is an engineer, Asker.

  2. don't be stupid.

    be happy instead.

    be a cook.

  3. If you want to be a jack of all trades go with Engineering!  I am currently an engineering student taking Mechanical Engineering.  Mech. Eng. are the kings of jack of all trades.

Yes I may be biased, but...  Physicists don't get down and dirty and actually build the stuff they think up.  Engineers do.  Engineers also have much of the training that Physics majors do, just not exhaustively.  And if you are really interested in physics take a minor!

    Just my 2 cents.  :D

  4. It would really depend on what you're most interested in and what career you want to get into.

If I had to pick one, though, I'd go with Mechanical Engineering.  It covers a wide range of areas, such as the design and analysis of motor vehicles, aircraft, heating and cooling systems, watercraft, manufacturing plants, industrial equipment and machinery, robotics, medical devices and more.

  5. Engineering

You actually get to build/make real things and make them work and change the world in a real sense

I've been an engineer for 15 years and have got to make/do

Run a laboratory, make bricks, make pottery, make sewer pipe, make ceramic armor for soldiers and cards, make diesel engine parts, make aerospace parts, make catalytic products.........

No end to the varied and interesting work that is very real and everyday stuff
