What's a colonic like?

I'm interested in getting one. The kind that cleans your ENTIRE system, not just some of your intestines.

A colonic only cleans some of your intestines.  (Not that it's ever needed - your intestines are self-cleaning anyway.)  There is no "kind" that cleans "your ENTIRE system".  Don't know where you got that idea.

Colonics are by far not unhealthy...I have actually had a couple...I used to go to the bathroom once a day or every other day...now i go atleast twice a day....Our bodies are not designed to digest all the chemicals and the processed foods...so our body stores it in our fat cells.... why do you think america is so overweight....colonics also detoxify the body. Its part of the cleansing process... they say that everyone has atleast 10-15 pounds of c**p in their colon.

(that hamburger that people ate at mcdonalds three years ago is still in their body)

Getting a colonic just for the h**l of it is unhealthy.

A "colonic" just means an e***a of the colon, or large intestine.   It doesn't do anything to the much much longer small intestine, as nature has evolved a one way valve that prevents things from going the wrong way (usually)

Your GI system doesn't actually need to be cleansed, so I don't know where you got that idea...probably from someone on this board, there's a lot of e***a addicts here.

To clean out your "entire system" such as before surgery, patients are given fluids only for a couple days and some strong laxative/purgatives as well.  There is no therapeutic benefit from this...it is just to make things cleaner for surgery or colonoscopy.

A "colonic" is a short term for a colon e***a.  It is normally used before a medical examination of your large intestine (also called the colon) by colonoscopy - a study where a long, flexible tube is inserted from the a**s to study any possible disease in the colon.  A colonic could also be routinely used before an x-ray study if the colon.

There are some who also are addicted to enemas or who take them prior to expected anal intercourse to "cleanse" the area.
