I'm moving into a 1-bedroom nice apartment but I have nothing to put anywhere on the walls or tables or anything (decorative-wise).

I was thinking of doing something Art Deco (like the futuristic planes) posters but I can't find much along those lines.

  1. This is a good reference around decorative arts. Download free magazine only from this url http://homeprofitsguide.tradepub.com/c/p...

  2. get a digital picture frame that changes the image automatically every few minutes. it's a conversation starter and not a lot of people own one.

  3. My best advice is to keep it simple and clean--that's always most important.  The more cluttery stuff you have all over the place, the harder it is to keep things neat and presentable.  Try to create a place for everything and keep everything in its place.  Don't let clutter pile up, take out your trash regularly, and do your dishes.

Try looking for an art supply and frame store near you.  They usually always have a variety of framed artwork and you're sure to find something that appeals to you.

Try to keep a simple color scheme in mind, and try to choose items that pick up one or two of the same colors in all your artwork and accessories.  Black is always a reliable accent color, but only as an accent.  If you use too much black, it will make your space look too dark and dreary, plus it will make a small space seem smaller.  As a general rule, if you are trying to make the space seem larger, you should go for lighter, more neutral colors.

Hope this helps.  Good luck with your new place!
