What's a cool place to visit for 48 hours?

Ok. So here's the deal. My Fiance and I have these airline tickets that we need to use up next month. We we only have time on weekends, and only can spend one night. So, I need ideas for a sweet place to visit for two half-days and one night! We are willing to go anywhere in the U.S. Any ideas? Random things are always good.

Personally, I really want to go to New York City.. even if just for a day. I'm dying to expierence the excitement that city has to offer.. I'd really like to just tour the place.. I want to stand in times square soo bad.. but then again, I'm just a small town girl who has never been anywhere like that =P

You should come to southern West Virginia in the fall.. It's the most gorgeous and relaxing place you will ever go to (if ya like the outdoors and site seeing.. that sort of stuff).

Hmm.. Vegas? I don't really have much of an interest of vegas but it might be fun.

L.A... thats another place I'd like to see.

Miami/ Orlando

Depends on what type of weather you like. Right now I'm so sick of the cold so I want to be on a beach =)

the Riverwalk in San Antonio, TX - the San Antonio convention and visiters bureau has a good website. Very romantic and and there's a lot to do nearby.

Sanvannah, GA/Tybee Island, and try a place called the Crab Shack(not affiliated with Joe's Crab Shack)

Maybe Myrtle Beach, SC

If you're into music, you could fly out to see one of your favorite bands in concert somewhere.

world famous San Diego Zoo, and i'm sure there are some beaches nearby. It's already pretty warm out there, it was 92 in L.A. the other day when I was there.

Oh...Memphis, TN - go down on Beale St, also home of the Rock n Roll hall of fame, and you could also catch an NBA game down there at the FedEx Forum.
