What's a cool "tuner" that also gets good gas mileage??

I'm 15 and 1/2 and am looking for a cool looking "tuner" car (non-turbo though because then you have to pay premium) that is also good on gas. Better than 18 mpg in the city though otherwise I might as well just get an Eclipse. I probably can go up to 10 Grand to spend on it. I dont really want it to be a Civic or a Celica because everyone has them.
