  1. To be honest... I have absolutely no idea! Seriously, fantasy sport?! I just wanna answer some questions, not look through my dictionary to try and find out what a fantasy sport is! Sorry I can't help you :-(

  2. A fantasy sport (also known as rotisserie, roto, or fairy-tale sport; or owner simulation) is a game where fantasy owners build a team that competes against other fantasy owners based on the statistics generated by individual players or teams of a professional sport. Probably the most common variant converts statistical performance into points that are compiled and totaled according to a roster selected by a manager that makes up a fantasy team. These point systems are typically simple enough to be manually calculated by a "league commissioner." More complex variants use computer modeling of actual games based on statistical input generated by professional sports. In fantasy sports there is the ability to trade, cut, and sign players, like a real sports owner.

In the beginning you draft players accordingly by random chance in your league.  You will not have a choice when you draft.  You also have waiver priority where it is the direct opposite position of when you draft. (e,g. if you draft first, you have last waiver priority).

    Hope this helps

    Good luck

  3. Hi Lefty,

Fantasy Sports (football, baseball, basketball, etc) allow participants (e.g. players, teams, franchises, etc) to build a roster of professional players and compete against other participants in head-to-head play throughout the sport's season.  Ã¢Â€Â˜Teams’ can build a roster of players in a variety of different ways, depending on how the league was created, but serpentine draft and auction leagues are the most populate.  Teams basically take turns picking the players they want until their rosters are filled.

Rosters are finalized before the season starts, then during the regular season each fantasy team plays one other team each week and the team with the most points wins the game. Teams accumulate points based on the statistical output of the players they choose to start.  So, if most of the players on my roster have great stats on a particular day, my team will therefore put up lots of points and chances are I'll win.

Most fantasy leagues have a playoff system where the best teams compete in an elimination tournament at the end of the regular season to determine the league champion.  The champion is generally awarded a trophy, money, or something similar.

Really, fantasy points are a way for men to prove that they know more about sports than other men.  It's essentially a trash-talking tournament and an excuse to watch every game, even those that involves horrible teams.  Fantasy sports makes every game important because you're interested in the players themselves, not the teams.

Most fantasy sports involve ranking the players associated with the respective sport.  If you click on the link my source list, you'll see some rankings that I have configured for my fantasy football website.  I use these rankings when determining the players to add to my team on draft day.

    Hope this helps.
