What's a fun shore excursion in Montego Bay w/ a three year old?

We're going on a cruise this fall and can't find anything that looks particularly fun for such a young child.

What about a great beach for hanging out?

Did you check out the Negril Beach Experience shore excursion?

You should definately avoid the horseback riding on the beach and Dunn's Falls (a bus ride from Montego Bay to Ochoa Rios).

Be very careful about booking shore excursions outside your cruise company or just "exploring" Montego Bay.  It is better to stay with the contracted tour companies in this port.  You can go on your own in other ports, but not this one.

AguaSol Themepark is  a great beach for kids and adults it has go-kart racing, restaurants, tennis,

entertainment, and water sports. Another cool thing is Dolphin Cove at Half Moon, you can be a dolphin trainer for a day and the kids love Dolphins,and I hope you have fun.

From what I've read about the cruise line's visits to MoBay, I wouldn't take a 3-year-old off the ship there.  I wouldn't even consider anything but a cruiseline excursion.

But, you could go to CruiseCritic.com, click on "Boards" at the top of the page, then go to "Ports of Call" for lots of info from experienced cruisers.

We went to Margarittaville on our excursion.  There was quite a few kids out there but not sure I recommend it.  The beach is nice and they do feed you but it is around 69.00 a person, not sure if a child would be reduced or free.  

You want to stick to tours provided by the cruise line, not only are you safer but if there is a problem and your late back to the ship, it will wait for you.  

There are some shops right there in the port if you want to do some shopping.

I have heard of kidnappings, people getting forced to buy drugs (illegal there and they will search you), women being pulled into small sheds, and they will hound you to buy stuff from them.  Just nego. the price prior to receiving any goods or services.  

Just be careful.
