What's a genre of music or a band that's inspiring and different?

I'm trying to broaden my musical taste. I'm open minded and will try any suggestion.

Inspiring... that depends.

Different to what? Want something really different and new or only different of what you used to listen? But what do you usually listen?

I'll try some suggestions. When I first heart reggaeton i said to myself "wow, thats inspiring and different" - but that was some time ago. I guess reggaeton isn't that different anymore.

A few months ago I heard a rock band, Skindred. Rock with reggae influences! That's different.

Try some rock i has lots of different catergories and I gave up rap and hip hop for it because it was so good. Good Luck

Perhaps Coldplay? They're an alternative rock, or as they say "They play hard Soft Rock." There songs are unique, and interesting to listen to.
