And, how did they find out that the dimples made the golf ball fly so far?

  1. There are two types of balls. One has a liquid core around which a stretchy long rubber band is wound. This is then encased in a cover. This is the wound ball used by most of the better players. The second is a solid core which can be compressed which is then encased in a cover. The first is called a 3 piece ball and the latter is the 2 piece ball. Most of today's golfers use the two piece ball.


  2. It's this latex stuff...not the condom type...it had lots of differen't stuff in it but it's classed as latex :)

  3. plastic pvc plastic with thousands of little rubber bands wrapped around a little ball with water in it thats the core . throw one in the fire and stand back. its pretty cool

  4. The dimples are there so the ball can grab onto the air as it flies. If it didn't have the dimples, you would barely be able to hit it.
