What's a good, basic television?

Question

I've never bought a T.V. before. What's a good one?

What should I avoid?

I just want the simplest (cheapest), most basic set up. Nothing fancy.

Please know I'm barely technologically advanced enough to operate an iPod. Use small words. LOL!

You should check out Consumer Search.  They collect reviews from all over the web, summarize them, and make recommendations.  They make recommendations for several different types of TVs.  Their articles go over what you should consider in making your decision.

go to your local electronics store and pick one that is in your budget. everyone here is gonna tell you to get a plasma and you need 1080p and make sure its hdmi compatible. Just pick some thing for you. you know what it's gonna be used for and how much it's Worth to you. good luck.
