Question:

What's a good, cheap eyeshadow primer?

I am looking for a good, cheap primer that is conveniently sold in drugstores. Cheap brands please... like CoverGirl, Loreal, N.Y.C., etc. I know about MAC and Urban Decay's primer.. but can't go to the mall any time soon.

And I've heard that you can use a neutral (skin-tone) eyeshadow as a primer for eyeshadow.. true?

GURUS and makeup addicts, please help!

  1. The cheapest primer is: YOUR CONCEALER!

Lots of people use that.  It's neutral and easily assessable.

There's L'oreal Decrease.  But, I hate the bottle because at the end, you don't get all the product, so it's kind of a ripoff.

Also, NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils can act as a great base too.  It'll make any eye shadows POP!

  2. You can't use a neutral tone eyeshadow as primer unless it's a cream based one like MAC painterly paintpot. And on that note painterly paintpot is a really good primer.

Also Rimmel made some good cheap primers but I can't see to find them in the shops anymore.

  3. i'm not sure about cheap eyeshadow primer..

but what i know is that you can use some eye paint or eye creme (those creme and gel look) as a base... or maybe some shade stick will work... it works for me.. not as good as primer,, but it definitely works.

    hope this helps

  4. I recommend this. It works great.

  5. I use Neutrogena Skin Soothing Eye Tints. It can be found at most drugstores, and about $8.00.
