I'm not ready to cough up a pretty penny for a recent model dive computer (which I will do eventually), what do you recommend as a cheap and decent dive watch? Will appreciate two answers -- with and without depth gauge. Thanks.

  1. if you are going for without depth gauge then u can get some really cheap normal watches that are rated to 50m just go down your local electronics shop or sells anything jobbyies and pick one up...with a warrenty

i persoanlly don't go beyond about 20m atmo so i've got a £10 casio which is rated to 25m

  2. I work as a dive instructor

    i dive to 40 meters

    amny of my new students

    buy really expensive watches

    they look very impressive

    I am always

    broke

for a joke one year i bought a mickey mouse watch for ten dollars

and dove for over a year with it

    it was a good laugh

now i just use a cheap $25 digital  watch

    it works fine
