What's a good Beruwela hotel (Sri Lanka) to stay in?

The hubby and I are planning on taking a trip to Sri Lanka in October, with Beruwela as our "base camp" of sorts. We've heard good things about the hotel in terms of location, and value for money. Can anyone help verify this please? Your experiences with the hotel will be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :)
