  1. I suppose you can get a 20-26" HDTV, but HDTV is really only benefited with sizes 32" and up.  And a Blu-Ray player does 1080p which is insignificant on smaller sets as compared to a upconverting DVD player.

Since there are not a lot to choose from in the price range you are considering, I say go down to your local TV shop and compare in person, then decide from the picture quality between the sets on display.

  2. To get the most out of a HDTV you need it to have a resolution of 1080p refresh rate of 120hz and greater than 40".  the Sony Bravia BVR series and the Samsung LNT series are probably the best quality image you will find. Those are much more expensive $1,500-$2,000 easy, or about  Ã‚£750-1000

Any HDTV less than  Ã‚£500 is not going to be that good for viewing Blu-Ray

As for a Blu-Ray player most people feel that the Sony Playstation 3 is the best one currently available.

  3. I don't think you are going to get an HDTV for under £200. You should not spend more for a blu-ray player than your tv.
