I failed general chemistry a few semesters ago. I am going to take it this fall. I want to make an A, but the schools chemistry book doesnt do a good job of explaining the material to me to where I can understand it. What self-taught chemistry book should I buy so I will understand college level chemistry? (example: Cliffsnotes, Princeton Review, Schaum's outlines college chemistry, ect ect...)

I have one month until my fall semester starts, and I need a book that will explain chemistry to me. Thanks!

  1. I am not trying to be funny, but dummies.com has a book on nearly every subject imaginable and tend to be very good for novices and beginners.  If you want a serious education, don't try to self teach.  Self teach how to play chess, but not academics.
