What's a good GMAT score?

The school i'm looking at applying to says it's average GMAT score for accepted applicants was 661 last year. Is that good? What's the scale?

if it says that the average then that is the middle 50% of the people who took it got around that...so for your answer...its average. people do better and people do worse...661 is apparently the middle
