What's a good Martial Art for me?

I've seen this question so many times before, but none for my body-type (not that I know of anyway).

I'm 5'11", and I weigh about 180 lbs. I'm pretty strong and fast, but I don't have much flexibility in my legs at all. I want to change that, but I don't want to jump right in to Tae Kwan Do or anything.

I definitely want something traditional, no sport fighting... and I also like styles that stress mental clarity or control. I like the idea of having a higher goal for myself, rather than just learning self-defense.

  9. boxing...it is unsurpassed at developing and maintaining physical fitness. It tests character, determination and valor.  Boxing feints, the movement of the feet, the skill in a rally can stand you in good stead  intellectually as well as physically. The goal is not to maim, but to hit, stop blows, and avoid being hit. All this without being encumbered by alien beliefs, elaborate ceremonies, and tiresome rituals.
