it's for my playwriting class.

I've named the mercenary as Johnny "Juan" Rico( Heinlein's "Starship Troopers", and yes, he's Filipino. As for the shrink, she's nameless for now.

  1. When the psychiatrist challenges the morals behind the mercenary taking money for what he does, the mercenary turns on the psychiatrist about the way she takes money for what she does.  "You are nothing but a mercenary yourself!"

  2. Psychiatrists are good for bringing personal conflict into the open, so it could be the mercenary's own apprehension or guilt about what he's done, or how he is coping without that hard-knock lifestyle.

And it's better to use original characters.

  3. First of all with no offense I suggest you re-consider RIPPING OFF anothers name, personality, and obvious connective personality traits.

The notion that comes to mind immediately, is that this hired gun is HUMAN, and seeing a shrink to try to get a grip on his own actions, sensibilities, rationale in being a hired gun.

He feels,,, or rather relates to the SHRINK, "This is the best job I ever hated."

I think if you are going to plagiarize, you might get something from the Sopranos.

    Just my 2 "scents"
