  1. I started mine at 1.5 years. She was fully potty trained by 2 but still wet the bed at night.

If your child goes to daycare early potty train does not work because they only will break the routine.

  2. i'm going to start at 18 month.  I personally can't imagine my 3 year old in diapers.

I am not being critical of mothers who wait (I have friends who wait).  But for my family I don't want my 3 year old in diapers.  I have a friend who's 5 year old is still in diapers and I have no interest in dealing with that!

  3. i take a class in high school called child studies and they say that its good to start potty training at the age of 18 months.

  4. When they can bring you a diaper or tell you they pooped on theirself. My oldest son never did this but at 3 I had him potty trained in a week, my youngest son would bring me a diaper and say "I stink" so I potty trained him...

  5. 2 years when he understands about going to the potty, being able to tell you that he needs to go .....

  6. vvhen they are ready and shovv an interest. Some start as early as 18mths and some start at 2 in half.

  7. When ever you feel he is ready. I started at 2 1/2.

  8. here are the signs:

he knows when he is wet...

he knows when he is soiled...

he knows the terms: p**p, pee, potty etc...

he doesn't like have a dirty diaper...

he tells you when he has or is about to go...

if those are all met then its time...

what i would do is make these times.... potty time....

    right when he wakes up

    right after breakfast

    right after lunch

    right after dinner

    right before bath

    right before bed

    each potty time: 10-15 minutes

  9. The best age for potty training is when the child can control the internal muscles linked with urination and can hold their bladder.  On average, boys potty train between 3 and 3 1/2.  My sons potty trained standing up and I felt this gave them a big head start because they could see what was happening and connect the sensations.  I researched and found a sturdy stool with sides for the toilet so they could stand up or sit on a regular toilet and be completely stable.  http://www.amazon.com/Elite-Child-Corpor...

My sons used this stool and were completely potty trained at 2 1/2.  This stool made all the difference and was well worth it.  Hope this helps.

  10. When he's ready.  Which, depending on the child, may be as early as 18 months, as late as 4 1/2-5 years ... but probably somewhere between 2 and 3 1/2.
