  1. I have a son who had at least one ear infection a month.

I swear by warm garlic oil, I even told his pediatrician and he started using it as well.

Health food (not GNC type) have garlic oil, it doesn't smell as bad as you think, put about a quarter of a teaspoon in a kitchen spoon and warm it over your stove burner (it get HOT very quick so be careful) and then put it in your ear and lay with that ear pointed up for about 5 minutes, do this a few times a day.

  2. You should try an ear candle.  You can get them at your local nutritional store (GNC?).  They cost about $1.50 each.  You lay on one side, put the candle in and light it.

Afterwards, I like to cut it open to see what's inside--usually a lot of ear wax.  It's really cool and you'll feel a lot better.

  3. I'll tell you what is good for ear infections.. its one of the 'naturopharm' homeopathic products called 'Mercurius Dulcis'. My son was having lots of ear issues as a toddler and this stuff works.

  4. Garlic oil (slightly warm).  Available at most better health food stores.

  5. Acetaminophen or ibuprofen are effective pain relievers for ear pain. You can safely use both medications together if one alone is not enough.  or   Warm compress – apply a warm washcloth to the ear.

#Warm olive oil, vegetable oil, or garlic oil – put several drops of one of these into the ear. MAKE SURE THE OIL ISN’T TOO HOT.

  6. Hair dryer on low heat always helps my girls ears.

  7. Go see your doctor. Ear infections could be a sign of serious ear disease and the longer left untreated the more damage it does. Take it from me, in 2003 I had a nasty infection which resulted in hearing loss and required major reconstructive surgery at a cost of over $10,000(Aus)!!

Ear candles are not safe to use nor is olive oil, as both may aggravate the condition and result in damaging the delicate membrane in your ear-drum.

Go see you doctor and get it checked out, you may require a simple course of antibiotics.

Proper medical diagnosis and treatment is what you need RIGHT NOW!!

  8. (1) Cut up some garlic and let it soak in some olive oil over night.

    (2) Microwave it for about 8 seconds.

    (3) Then put the warm olive oil in your ear.

    (4) Take a shower and rinse it out.

If it still bothers you (this may sound weird but it works) put about two cups of dry rice in a sock. microwave it. then place the sock to your ear.

  9. Eat raw garlic, on salads as often as you can, it's a natural antibiotic.

Lay down on good ear, have someone put 3 or 4 drops of hydrogen peroxide in the ear. It will fizzle, but put up with it. It will stop. Stay in place until this has time to get in deep, about 20 minutes.

Repeat a couple days, to make sure.

This will also speed the flu out of your body as well.

    Feel better!
