What's a good attention grabber for a speech about how going to many places has affected my life?

It is an intro speech about how going to many places has affected me. I'll be telling how it has made me more open-minded and to respect different cultures. I've been to NY, LA, Guam, Philly, Virginia, just to name a few.

Our world is mysterious and full of adventure.  There are mountains to be climbed and memories to be made.  on the other side of the world there are people living tottally different lives then us.  i have witnessed this and it is an adventure in itsself.

Open up immediatly into describing the places you have been, you know, like lush green mountains, towering skylines of immense cities, just make sure to use the most descriptive vocab you can use. Then explain that all of these places has affected your life in some way. At the end of the first paragraph, you should have a thesis that wraps up what the whole paper is about.
