What's a good car model that is inexpensive and can normally be owned by a grade 12?

What a good car model (any company) that wouldn't be impossible to get as a grade 12 girl? (I'm looking for a yellow one.) :)

Like, you're not rich or anything, just a normal girl and such. What are some car models out there that could work? And it doesn't matter if it's a 2 or 4 door/seater, but it can't be an SUV or a truck.

Honda civics are really good cars. I have owned mine now for quite some time. My dad bought it new is 1992 and its has never broke down and never needed anything more that the regular tune ups....

You want something strong and cheap.

High Schoolers will tend to beat on cars even if it's not intentional.

Hyundai and Kia have several really cheap yet reliable, strong and safe. They even look a little sporty for that all important image.

If I was 17 again, a used yellow Tiburon would make me love my parents.

possibly a ford focus hatchback , they are allowed to be yellow. kinda.

Nissan sentra, toyota corolla, or (ugh) honda civic all pop into my mind. Find a decent used one and drive it forever with regular maintenance. 3 great cars but I dont like Hondas.
