I'm taking my parents to a restaurant tonight.

In terms of price, food, ambience, how do you rate the following 4 restaurants:

TGIF

Appleby

Outback

Cheesecake Factory

?

Are there any other places in this league, perhaps Red Lobster?

Thanks

  1. Applebee's and TGIF both have good food at fair prices, Outback is a little more expensive but I don't really like their food as well.  I've never been to the Cheesecake Factory but have heard it is really good, but fairly expensive.  Red Lobster has great seafood but pretty expensive.  My personal favorite for steaks is Texas Roadhouse.

  2. Cheesecake Factory is definitely the best. Best drinks, and best food.

However, if you're craving steak, I'd go with Outback. They have good stuff.

And Red Lobster is great seafood of course.

    Stay away from Applebee's. Ew.

    TGIF is pretty good.

  3. None of the above. The only chains I like are Seasons 52 and Capital Grill.

  4. all are good

  5. outback has the best value they give you a lot of food, and you feel good and full when you leave there.

  6. As far as on that list I would say Cheesecake Factory, but be prepared for a long wait before you're seated. But their food is the bomb! I went there one time with a group of co workers for a Christmas lunch. Food is very tasty, but as someone mentioned, a bit expensive. But you do get your money's worth!

And in my opinion, Chili's is better than TGIF and Applebees (my mom got food poisoning at one(Applebees)..Never again). I've never ate at Outback, so I can't rate that place. If you have an Olive Garden in your area, that's another good place to try.

  7. oh my gosh the cheesecake factory all the way! no comparison. def. cheap for the amount of food they give you- it is SO much! plus it tastes amazingg. shrimp scampi there is awesome. but you really can't go wrong ordering anything there. and of course cheescake.

  8. TGI and Applebee's are good family restaurants for value and decent food.

However....I agree with the girl who said Texas Roadhouse!!!!

The best "mid range" family restaurant EVER!!!!

    They rule.....

  9. You mean cheddarchilicrapplebees? Sorry. That's my fiance's nickname for bland chains that all serve the same stuff.

But, if I had to chose between these chains, I'd go to Outback. They aren't terrible. I've never really been disappointed there. I've had better steaks, but it's not a bad value.

I've been eating at Fridays for the last ten years, and in the last year, the food quality has tanked. I'm not sure what they did, but I can barely eat there anymore.

The Cheesecake Factory is a overpriced and mediocre. The food is simply not good enough to justify the cost.

Applebees . . . the last time I ate there, I was with my parents and my fiance. And all of us agreed that the food was lousy.

I don't eat at Red Lobster. I don't eat seafood.

Have you considered a local restaurant?

  10. I really hate how Fridays gives you 15 different servers all thru the meal.  They get a big 0

Appleby's they are ok for price and food, not much ambience.  Give em 3 stars

Outback is good food and price.  Also 3 stars

Cheesecake Factory I only go to for desert lol.  5 stars for deserts :)

I like Uno Grill, 4 stars.

not a big fan of Red lobster, their sauces are very salty.

there are several places I like to go to, but they are not chains, theyre only where i live

    soz

  11. Outback, without question.  TGIF & Applebees, quite simply, suck.  Cheesecake factory is good for cheesecake only.

Red Lobster gave me the s***s, the worst s***s I've ever had.  I would never go back there!

  12. I vote for the Cheesecake Factory.

  13. Outback is definitely the best but based on price it can be up there depending on how many people you are taking.  Applebees and TGIF are both like Meijer brand Outbacks.  Cheeskake factory I wouldn't trust because of the fact that teir title is a desert so I wouldn't rely on them.  Red Lobster is a great seafood restaurant except the service is extremely slow.

  14. Cheesecake factory beats them all.

    My all time favorite restaurant<3

  15. Fridays-great prices-food good

    apple bees-great prices good food

outback-more expensive-good to go to for steak and they have the best loaves of bread

never ate cheesecake but heard great reviews

another great place that's not to much is the Geisha Steak house, plus its entertaining they cook the food in front of you for good prices also Red Lobster is good and Joe's Crab Shack
