Question:

What's a good cheap camcorder?

I'm thinking of buying a camcorder for filming a few music videos and some card tricks. My price cap is $225, and I'm looking for a model that would probably be in a Best Buy or Target, preferably the Target (I have lots of store credit there, a little less at BB).

So far I've come up with a few models:

60-minute Flip camcorder ($129.99)

Canon ZR-850 ($?)

JVC MiniDV Digital Camcorder ($199.99)

Like I said, I'm going to be filming a few music videos, regular videos and card tricks (10 minutes maximum) so memory isn't too much of an issue.

Which camcorder, if any, should I go for, and where could I get it for the lowest price?

  1. The canon camcorder costs $300 and I searched Target's website but they didn't have it. If your price cap is $225, then a digital camera will suit you well enough. And since music videos and card tricks usually don't last more than 10 minutes, you don't really need a camcorder that can record a couple of hours. If you still want to buy a camcorder, you sort of need to change your price cap to about $450 for a decent camcorder. But I found this Aiptek HD camcorder and it's under your price cap. Check out the link. Hope this helped!

  2. buy Canon  and u will not get dissappointed.
