  1. vinegar

  2. for pennies tobasco sauce

  3. If you are asking about cleaning OLD coins, DON"T DO IT!

Ask any numismatic (coin collector) and they'll tell you immediately...cleaning the coins destroys most of the 'antique' value of them. Making them all polished and shiny destroys the value as historical pieces.

So call your local coin 'collector' shop and ask them what to do!

If you want to clean 'non-valuable' coins- vinegar is good for copper coins, and any dish detergent will clean all coins-just to get the dirt and grime off them. Anything else is a waste of time if you are going to be spending them.

  4. listen to signman i recently had some 1800 coins valued and he said no matter what do not clean and he is a coin collector/seller

however there is something called trichlorotrifluoroethane but it come in kits with gloves and applicators but i think its expensive ask first ive just been researching lately and it says that is least damaging or almost not at all damaging

  5. Ketchup works.

You can also buy Brasso from hardware store or department store.

But the cheaper alternative is ketchup.
