   I own a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX series camera mines is one of the older 6 megapixel's camera's but really for what I use my camera its just perfect. Clear image quality and plenty of features.

MegaPixels is a bit involved to explain. The simple answer you need to know is that the higher the amount of pixels the better the image quality when printing large photos. Generally speaking 6 megapixels cameras provide more than sufficient picture quality. 10mp is the resolution. The higher the mp the better quality picture. Anti shake is a good feature to have as well.
