What's a good digital camera to get for around $200 or less??

Consider the Canon PowerShot A590 IS

It's 4X optical zoom, 8 megapixels, has image stabilizer, and one can set controls like shutter speed/aperture manually or just leave on auto. Beach Camera and TriState Camera has it for $150- + shipping.

Kodak is probably the best most reliable cheaper end camera out there. Otherwise you can check for sales on Cannon. Any good Sony would be out of your pricerange. But really they are all very similar, just pick the one that you like best

I would recommend Canon SD1100 IS.

I second the Canon powershot A-590 also look at the A-620 it has a 6x lens instead of a 4x.
