Looking for somewhere not too stuffy, but with great food and a place to go to for a treat.

  1. Preston Street has good restaurants; all tastes catered for.

You could always eat in one of the seafood restaurants on the front, Melrose is good.

Moma Cherries (not sure of spelling) is fantastic and found in the Lanes area.

    So much choice.

  2. I like Hotel Du Vin for a really special meal. It's nice as you actually feel you can dress up a bit going there. Check out the Hotel Du Vin website for more information. You'll need to book a table in advance though.

    Have a wonderful time!

  3. My favourites are mostly in St James Street.

The No Name, 01273 693216. Lovely food and informal setting.

The Saint, 01273 607835. French food, and check out the amazing loos!

Ruby Tates, 01273 693251. Mostly fish, beautifully cooked and served by friendly staff. You can drink and eat at the bar if you want. Zoe Ball has been there.

One I intend to check out  is The Laughing Onion, 80 St Georges Road. 01273 696555. The reviews say the french food is excellent, the place is very small and intimate, plus you get songs on Fridays and Saturdays.

    See you there perhaps!!!

  4. Harry Ramsdens opposite the pier

  5. TRY THIS PLACE

Donatello's in the Lanes is really good

    1 - 3 Brighton Place

    The Lanes

    Brighton
