My sisters and their families have been a life line for me to stay in school following my divorce! They've gone above and beyond to help me! Because of my schooling I haven't gotten to spend many holidays or vacations with the family and I'd like to take everyone on a vacation. What are some ideas? Adults and Kids ranging from 2 to 13! Disneyland isn't an option!

  1. A vacation rental at the beach is sometimes a good option as there is usually something to do besides the beach. Why not ask everyone for their input? A 3-4 day cruise is fun as there is lots to do and meals are included so that's one less worry.

  2. club med

  3. Why don't you create your own?  Get online and find someplace nearby, like, when I was growing up, I remember going to a place in New York on Lake George.  There was historic stuff - a revolutionary war fort, and a wax museum and an amusement park, and we swam in the lake a lot.  The kids would love something like that.  Just go online, and find all the attractions at someplace near where you all live, and make your own itinerary.

Half the fun is putting it together.

  4. Hey your in Washington state! Get a city pass to Seattle they do group discounts last time i checked. You can do the zoo, the aquariums, the underground city, and a few more things too! Or, you could hope, jump, and skip up to Vancouver. They have a lot going up there look it up on the net you might luck out and hit a time with a festival.

If your looking for something out of the usual, do the old time favorite, go to the beach always a great treat in the dead of the WA chill.

  5. Portland, Oregon is one of the best kids vacation spots especially for children that enjoy outdoor activities. Portland has an abundance of excellent parks where the kids have access to biking trails, rollerskating, swimming pools, lake boating, horseback riding and lots of other fun. Waterfront Village in Tom McCall Park has a nice petting zoo for the kids. Only five minutes from downtown Portland, is the Oregon Zoo. The MAX Light Rail has a stop that drops you off right at the entrance to the zoo. The Portland Children's Museum has loads of children-friendly exhibits and fun ways to explore and learn new things.
