  1. What about a "framed" class picture? Oriental Trading Company sells in bulk some really cute craft projects - frames among other things.  Have a picture taken of your class, print off X number, and frame them. Or, perhaps one of just the teachers and each child, then frame it?

Keep in mind this is probably something the parents will want to keep, so something with sentimental value like a picture or scrapbook would be great.

Books are terrific too... I believe Scholastic sells books in lots for teachers.  Have you ever read "Oh the places you will go" by Dr.Seuss? Great book for kids (and adults) of all ages... maybe you could find it in paperback or boardbook.

  2. well u can get them what they like like stuffed animals money to buy p-k clothes and much more or give them a little book and they can draw and let friends write notes for lasting memories goodluck everyone had some great ideas

  3. McDonald's bucks! Then they can go to McDonalds and "buy" their own Happy Meal. I did it for Christmas last year for all the little kids and they loved it!

  4. Every year I get my prek or kindergarten class a class T-shirt - with all the names of the children in the class on the back, and my name with my paraprofessional's name on the front.  This year we were Busy Bees - so the front says, buzz into learning with Mrs. ___ and Mrs. ___.

    It's a wonderful keepsake - but a little pricey!

  5. 1.) Mc donalds bucks.

2.) Barbies for girl cars for boy.

    3.) Teddy Bears

  6. Scholastic has small books about graduation that you can read to your kids before to get them ready.  Also, small backpacks filled with cheap colors, pencils, etc.  It will get them excited about the transition and also may get the parents involved in some additional help before school starts.

  7. Our teachers ordered books from Scholastic and put a message to the child in there with the year. The picture idea is cool too. When we were in 1st grade our teacher let each student pick out a fabric pattern and she made each of us a bookcalled ORIGINALS and it had our name on it as well as our writing and any awards we got throughout the year pasted into it. It was neat to look back at our we progressed and I was devestated when my copy got destroyed in a flood 2 yrs ago.

  8. Cute fancy stationery gift sets or fun puzzle books

You can also buy small bags or pouches for the girls to keep their stationery, coins or other items.

  9. A writing pad/drawing pad and some neat colored pencils or crayons

  10. i usually do a picture of them doing something in school w captions and decoration for them for each of them. something v personal for them to remember their early childhood yrs. can also burn a cd of photos for their parents.

  11. have someone take a digital picture of you and each student- then make a "diploma" on the computer inserting the picture.- only cost is ink and paper- this takes only a couple of minutes and each kid gets a personalized diploma as a keepsake

  12. A photo of the whole class, including teacher, together.

  13. Books make an excellent gift, you can also write inside the cover, for  a lasting memory.

  14. A picture of all of them with the teacher.    Pencils and markers in a pencil box with stickers for them to decorate anyway they want.Anything really. Children are so easy to please.

  15. Find out what their favorite store is a get a gift certificate there or get a mall gift certificate.

  16. A graduation gift???  Why on earth do pre-k kids need a graduation?  Let alone a gift?  Kids that age just want to play and have fun.  Why do you think they need more junk (oh, sorry, the pc term would be "stuff")?

  17. All of the ideas that you have so far are great.  If you want something that they can look back on when they are older, make a portfolio of some of their work, if you have any, and include a note and picture from you.

  18. I am taking class pictures and printing them on Tshirts and letting the class sign their names on the shirts.
