When I lost someone close to me I took up patchwork, I am now addicted.  You can join patchwork and quilting clubs and meet lots of new and fun friends of all ages.

Hobby cannot be asked to someone. I would suggest try some activities which you like and see what really gets you invovled and passionate.

Once you find something pursuing worthwhile, put your heart into it and pass your free time with full satisfaction.

Play guitar. Create a song. You will feel better afterwords. Nirvana songs are easy to play, even for a beginner. Trust me, I can play them and I don't think I am that good.

Well if you like Technology, My hobby is taking photos and editing them you can do a lot of neat things with pictures. I also do a lot of drawing, real detailed type work, but you need a lot of patience. Traveling is good but especially now can be expensive. Sewing, gardening (Start a veggie garden), cooking. It just depends on what you are interested in.

First of all I'm sorry, that sucks... But yeah I think doing some type of dance class, maybe even some kind of martial arts, will work. You gotta concentrate on doing what the instructor is teaching you.
