What's a good idea for an end of the school year party?

That depends on the age of the kids. If they are young then high schol musical when they are getting out of school and looking for summer jobs would be a good way to get the party started, but if the kids are older that would be lame and you really dont need a theme because older kids just like to hang out and find plenty to occupy themselves with.Just have plenty of snacky stuff and nonalcoholic beverages and some music and you will be fine

If you have a big enough yard, than have all the people you want over and grill. You could play music, or have a band play. If your yard isn't big enough than maybe you could find an inexpensive place to rent out for the night. I hope that helps!
