For a while now I've been looking for a lizard to get because I'm facinated by them. What I'm looking for is a lzard that doesn't need a lot of care but doesn't mind being handled. I was thinking of either a blue tongue skink or a leaopad gecko but the BTS is too hard to find and the gecko is too small in my opinion. I just wanted to know what some good lizards would be to get as pets.

  1. LEOPARD GECKOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

  2. I suggest the leopard gecko. I think they grow to be quite big. They can be 8-10 inches long when fully grown. I have a young female leopard gecko and she is amazing. It's fascinating to watch her "hunt" the crickets and mealworms. We just recently starting handling her (we couldn't handle her too much before because she was just a baby, small and skittish) outside of the cage and she likes to crawl on us. It's fun to hold her.

  3. Turtles are cool

  4. if you like BTS's then i would recommend a bearded dragon they are also omnivores and are generally recommended as a beginner reptile. leopard geckos are great beginner animals too and are actually a little bit easier than bearded dragons to care for and cheaper to set up for. the only problem is they sleep alot so they can be kinda boring pets to have and sometimes dont comepletely calm down nor get used to being handled

  5. Any lizard needs a ton of care. There are elements to consider like lighting , heat , food , terrariums , clean up, parasites , lizard health, plus a host of other things you need to do like letting them bask in natural sunlight everyday for at least an hour or 2. They need UVA , UVB plus you have to keep their enclosure humid and dry at the same time. If not, your looking at a lizard who can't digest their food correctly, bone growth will stop and they will die.

  6. definatley get a bearrded dragon man!

  7. leopard gecko

  8. i would've suggested a leopard gecko but since you think they are too small, a bearded dragon might be right for you, or perhaps a mali uromastyx (spelled it wrong probably)
