What's a good place for a tattoo?

I'm booked in to get my first tattoo in a few months time but I'm still undecided on where to get it. Recommend any good places? If you've got a tattoo - where is it and why did you get it there or if you'd want to get a tattoo - where would you get it and why?

I have one on my wrist of a Jolly Rogers, aka Skull and Crossbones. A completely bonding tattoo and my first one. I love it!

Location is usually best determined on personal preference and the size of the tattoo, also what it might look like in years time. An example would be getting a tattoo on the stomach, because later it would stretch. Pain wise I would not suggest getting it done on the back,stomach, neck, or the in side of the arms because generally the nerves are more sensitive there and might be an extra discomfort in the process of your new tattoo. Especially your first, unless you ultimately want it there. Your tat artist will be able to help you decide on a more specific location once you pick a general area based on the specific design you decide on. Just make sure your artist licensed and knows what her or she is doing and is giving you want you actually want.

i wouild like to get mine at jade dradon .. first they are very clean it is # 1 best tatto and piercing shop in chicago. and they have a variety of choices to choose from they are the best

the top of one of your arms or you can get a fake tattoo and see where you will like to put a tattoo

im gettin one on my foot the nside of my wrist and m side/ upper thigh area. i chose those places because i can cover them up easily and they wouldnt stop me from lookin proffesional n the buisness world and elegant and classy at a formal event

i think the back of the neck would be really cool

but the tattoo has to look right there
