What's a good place to buy real estate in Sydney?

I'm thinking Redfern because it's in the city and its reputation will improve over the decades.

Anywhere else you recommend I can get a house in an area that'll rise? Budget is around half a million.

Auburn it is devoloping,At the moment the population is 60,000 they say come 2010 it will be 80,000 there is high rise apartments their and silverwater industrial area just near buy,It's a great little town too never any bother in it a very close knit area
