My parents 25th wedding anniversary is coming up in September. I have a brother and two sisters. We are all in college or high school so we don't have too much money to spend. What do you think is a good, thoughtful present we can give them?

  1. Gather all the family photos of your parents since they were kids and make a scrapbook of their lives both before and after they were married. I did this for my sister and she loved it

  2. I believe 25 is silver, so maybe something engraved with wedding date and your names. a platter. a vase, or something of the sort.

  3. Take a look at www.journeyprints.com.  You all could get together and create a print that includes all the great memories you have shared with your parents.

  4. Make a scrapbook of the 25 years.  It will be thoughtful, since you'll be putting alot of effort into it!

  5. my parents 25th was last october. i dont have mush money either so i did a family potriat for my gift. me my bro and my parents went to target toook the pics then i picked out what i wanted. i got a bunch of pictures and it came to $30 i also bought them some frames for the larger pictures {cheap from walmart.}. the pictures turned out great and they loved it! good luck and congrats to your parents!!

  6. my parents had their 25th when i was in high school and one of my older brothers had the idea for the gift-we went in on nice champagne toasting flutes...  one of my brothers was 21 at the time (obviously, i was only 14 so i didn't have the idea) and he went and bought them a bottle of champagne to go with it...  i made a card and we all signed it and gave it to them.  they loved it.  champagne glasses are things you get and use for special occasions; a 25th wedding anniversary is definitely a special occasion; and i bet they would definitely think of you guys next time they go to use them!

my aunt and uncle gave my fiancee and i these toasting flutes from mikasa; their name is "celebration-fluted champagne glasses"...  they are $50...  if you have a bed bath & beyond around, i believe you can buy them there, and the best part is, they have 20% off coupons daily that you can find in any newspaper, or even on the website i think...  i included the link for the toasting flutes that i am talking about below...  hope this helps!

you're really thoughtful for wanting to give your parents something!  god luck!

  7. Other's answers made me think of this.  A few years ago I got my gf a video photo DVD and she loved it.  It seems great for any anniversary.  I know you could probably make it yourself on your computer but if you send it to professionals it will look better than you can imagine.  I was skeptical at first but it came back amazing.  Otherwise maybe a scrapbook or something you can make yourself.  The website I used for the video is esavemedia.com it is the cheapest site of this kind by far.

  8. pull all the pics of you and your siblings, any family...scan them onto your computer and make them a video..start off with pics from when they were young, their parents..to now...going thru marriage, births, school..etc...basically a time line to now, put some nice music...i used "Remember When" by Alan Jackson for the video I made my parents.  Most computers come with some type of video making software...you can add effects, and even pull lil sayings, quotes off of the net to put in that will be good for certain pics.  Trust me they will love it.  My parents were so happy, even cried, and it was inexpensive and meant so much more than anything i could have bought for them.
