Question:

What's a good price for all of this?

1. Tack. This includes basic halter, saddle pad, western saddle, and bridle.

2. An Arabian/NSH. I would want one younger, and not a reserve champion or anything. So obviously I'm not looking into the 10,000 dollar ones. Just a rough estimate of a nice one would be. I know if they're 500, most likely something is wrong with them. So just the average price of a good, well-trained, riding/western show horse.

Thanks :))

  1. Well, it depends on if you want new or used tack. Used; $400.00 and up. (But that doesn't mean you can't find a really great deal somewhere for less).

As for a horse? $300 for a horse from an adoption place that has shown to $4000 for an OK show horse. It would depend on age, breed, experience etc...

    Good luck

Well Duh! I didn't read very good. Since you have what breed you want and what age. I would suggest if you are a novice rider, an older horse might be better for you.

  2. it depends on the quality of the tack.

and for a decent show horse i would say about 4,000 to 6,000 estimate

and if you want quality tack atleast 1500 for all that so i would say about 6,000 to 8,000 for everything depending on brands and how much you send on a show horse.

  3. The brand of tack makes a difference in the price. As does the wear, new or used. If it is a show saddle or not.

Besides, I am not the best with pricing. Sorry.

But just because it is $500 doesn't mean something is wrong with it. My friend got one for $500 because the owner simply couldn't afford the horse anymore and was also moving to another country. Apparently she wasn't worried about the money as much as the horse going to a good home. And this horse honestly is one of the best horses I have ever met.

  4. Just because a horse is $500 doesnt mean that there is something wrong with them, and it depends on what type of tack you are getting is it show tack or is it just like a synthetic saddle and a nylon bridle?

But i think that a nice arabian/NSH horse would be around1,000 dollars, plus the tack would be around 1,800 all together or pretty close anyway.

  5. ok here is a price range but honestly it realy depnds. also im giveing you more of the price range for brand new stuff you can find cheaper stuff online and used stuff will be cheaper as well. Also these are prices for around where i live so they will probably be a little bit different where you live.

Halter and lead rope:  around $30

    Saddle Pad: $75-$200

Western Saddle:$500-$1000 ( you can find them cheaper but there usualy not very good quality, some good brands to look for are Circle Y and Crates, Big Horn, The Real Billy Cook saddles though they tend to be more expensive)

    Show saddle: $1000+

    Bridle: $50

    Bit: $45-$100

you should be  able to find a good arabian for bellow $5000, but NSH will be harder to find for cheaper, but not impossible. Good luck on finding a horse, and dont rush into and make sure you get a vet check ( lol trust me this could save you alot of money in the long run i know from personaly experience)

  6. I bought an Arab horse, and tack as a package deal...but everyone has different stories. I got my Arab for 800 and all my tack for 200 which was a major steal and blessing! The saddle was in great condition (but was an English) and my horse is great...but I wouldn't resell her as a show horse just because of her lack of training. But if you are looking for a fully trained Arab ready for show...your minimum price will probably be at least 4000. If you're looking for something cheaper...do what i did and get a horse you can work on and also afford!!!
