  1. i use AVG its free and works fine for me also i have never heard of anyone complaining about it.

  2. AVG free edition. Expect like 20 other people saying the same thing

  3. you can get norton antivirus for free eh its easy to use but im not sure if the free version removes like cookies and viruses, it'll let you no if u have them though

  4. http://www.download.com/Antivirus-Firewa...

at the top of the page are the free antivirus programs

I personally use avast home edition.  It caught a couple of possible programs at a website and locked it away w/o having to ask for permission, but I generally don't test my av that much (I try to browse safe)

  5. the first guy has the best answer i have avg its great :

    http://free.avg.com/

  6. abap tutorials-http://abaptutorials.info/

  7. There are several good programs for this. But I want to say immediately, avoid the free "Scan your computer now" sites that are companies  you've never heard of. Most of them are scams, plain and simple.

To give a short list, here are 3 standards apps in the free category I used to give my customers (I had a shop for a few years).

    Anti-Virus: AVG from http://free.avg.com/

(There is also this one my brother has used, but I haven't used  it personally. Avast from http://www.avast.com/)

    Spyware Scanner: Ad-Aware from http://lavasoft.com/

    Firewall: Zone Alarm from http://www.zonealarm.com

All of these products also have purchase versions with more bells and whistles, but the free ones work just fine. And I do recommend using all three for best results. Each program has it's focus, and for proper security you need to cover all three areas: Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware, and a Firewall.

One thing I'd like to mention- for anti-virus I prefer Norton.

You do have to pay for that one but it's an old friend of mine. I've had it for so long with great results it's one I often encourage folks to actually pay for. The updates and support are unmatched in my opinion.

Hope this helps get you in the right direction.

    Cheers
