What's a good restaurant for a first date?

I'm thinking I'm going to go with Chiles, but I thought I'd check what people on here thought.

I don't want to do something too fancy, like Olive Garden, but I also don't want to do something too casual, like Buffalo Wild Wings.

Also, my date doesn't like seafood.

  1. Chili's is a great place for a first date, although many people think of Italian as more romantic.

Olive Garden is really not that fancy.  You could also do Macaroni Grill if you don't have a good local place.

  2. go to a cians restaurnt.

  3. No baby, none of the one's you named, try a nice expensive place...thats what I would prefer...I never let a man take me out to Chiles, Applebee or places like that...especially not for a first date..Take her to a place where she doesn't feel comfortable going in jeans and a graphic tee, take her to a place that she can where something that makes her feel s**y..not a teenage date spot like the one's you named and if you are in your teens trust me not taking her to any of those places will earn you extra points!!!!

  4. showgun where you can watch the guy cook your food haha

  5. Go to Chiles or Applebees, it is not too fancy but causal enough that you can have a good conversation, and there is enough crazy c**p on the walls that you could talk about if your conversation stalls or you have a weird silence. Also, they usually have sports on the TV there so you can keep track of what is going on.

  6. Chain restaurants are all in the same class to me....

Chilies should be fine though, service is usually acceptable , as is the food.....

I prefer to go to locally owned restaurants.....

  7. Ask her where she would like to go, or what her favorite restaurant is. Just out of curiosity, how old are you guys?

  8. I don't know which city you live in, but If you have access to a restaurant with a panoramic view, like a revolving observatory, go there:

You want to impress your date, not look cheap.

Most restaurants have a variety of dishes on the menu, so you can take her to any good location you want.

Remember that she is there to be with you, not for the food.

  9. krystal

  10. what about mexican?

  11. all i can say is... a first date is a first impression. this one should be more impressionable than maybe the second or third

  12. PF CHANG!!!

  13. TGIF fridays or Applebees, they have healthy choices and tasty foods!

  14. I'd go with PF Chang as well. :) It's good and can be a little romantic. And it doesn't bust the budget. Don't listen to the golddigger. lol If she's into you she won't care where you take her. It should be about the fun time you spend together. :)

  15. olive garden is like mcdonalds of italian... not at all too fancy.... do olive garden.... raspberry white chocolate cheesecake... for two
