What's a good restaurant for a small group birthday celebration near San Carlos, CA?

Looking for a restaurant - either Italian, Asian or American food - which would be fun to celebrate a 32nd birthday with friends in San Mateo County.

or the elephant bar in burlingame

Spiedo on 4th Ave in San Mateo.  Also, there are a ton of restaurants in that 8 block area that would be good.

Zach's above is also pretty good.

Town in San Carlos is wonderful... trendy - great food and drinks.

Piacere Ristorante  is also great.... less trendy - smaller, great food.

And Izzy's Steak house is terrific. Steaks, chops, good food. Much different atmosphere.

Depends on what you're looking for in atmosphere and food.

I would also suggest Kincaids in Burlingame by the airport. Good seafood!
