  1. The best routine is no routine. If you change up your routine regularly you will get in better shape. Good things to do include:  intervals of varying time and length, long runs, sprints and hill climbs. You can also run with ankle weights or run up big hills. Whatever you do make sure you are taking days off to give your body rest and varying your workout

  2. Consistency is the key, cant say it enough.  consentrate on running for time not distance.  your not a distance runner per say, your not planning on running the New York Marathon next month.  For health reason I would start out with 15-20 mins if you have to walk part of it its ok just get yourself to be able to make the 20 mins without walking.  then move it to 30-40 mins, get it.  feel good run more feel bad run less.  You want to build yourself up to be able to run 45-60 mins three to four times a week.   It does not matter how far but how long your working....  Good Luck to you..Happy Running

  3. Work to six miles in one hour. That is not too fast but you can do it regularly without too much fatigue. Many people run faster but it is regularly doing it that helps lose weight.
