  1. Calgary, I would probably go to the Calgary Tower.. not much else.  Banff is a blast though, I live in Calgary and I still love heading over to Banff.

Definitely hit up the cramped but amazing candy store there, and the fudge store!

There's A LOT of tourist stores there, with like the person above said, gem stones, things carved to look like mooses, t shirts, lots

I would get a picture of the landscape if I were going to get a souvenir there, and then I'd definitely go the fudge and candy store.  I like souvenirs that you can actually use (or eat in this case haha)

Those precious stones things.. its like "Geee thanks.. what a great.. paper weight.. you're too sweet"

  2. I live in Calgary, I think you should hit the candy store in Banff for sure and get some fudge and unique candy like giant jaw breakers. Make sure you keep the candy in a bag with the name and location of the store on so the gift recciver dosnt think you bought it at some local store. Everyone loves candy no matter what age!!!!!!

Or if you are looking for something more 'special' how about a cool native wood mountain sculpture, but dont fall for some cheap factory carving...

  3. In Alberta, ammolite is well known. In Banff there are stores with gemstone jewellery and geodes, very cool.

From Calgary, something to do with Olympic Park or from the Calgary Zoo.
