What's a good substitute for molasses?

Where I live I can't find any, I need it for cooking, do you know what could be used instead of molasses?

  8. You won't get that flavour with a substitute.  I thought molasses was sold pretty much everywhere.

  9. honey is a great substitute for molasses in terms as a sweetener with somewhat similar texture you can use food coloring to make the process seamless.

  14. Maybe brown sugar, because you can sub. white sugar and molasses for brown sugar.
