What's a good summer camp for a 11 year old?

We live in Michigan. I was thinking about maybe for just a week overnight camp! I went to Camp Eberhart and really loved it! Do you know of any great camps in Michigan, Indiana, Wisonsin, or Illinois? Is there a website that lists summer camps. Don't you think 1 week is long enough for the first time a 11 year old has been overnight alone (except for a coule of sleepovers)? I want a camp that has a wide array of activites and has a lot of fun things like bonfires and scavenger hunts! I think she'd like a camp with boys because she's starting to like them now. A camp with a diverse group of kids would be great too! I know she'd be interested in horseback riding, swimming, archery, and arts/crafts. Thanks!

  1. that colo

  2. My kids love scout camp (girl scouts, cub scouts). There are often options of day camp or "sleep away" camps. My daughter did one that was horse oriented and loved it. I think it was 3 nights, 4 days in length. If she cares for that sort of thing, just look into girl scouting in your local area.

  3. Omg, thank god I came across this question. I always spread the word about this camp in Croswell, MI:

    Black River Farm and Ranch.

It's a horseback riding camp but you better sign up before June 1st. They have a 1st  1 week session too. But how about you just go to the website and get info =]

    Get info from:

    www.blackriverfarmandranch.com

Great camp, great activities, great fun. I love it so much, it's my 5th year there, and I am going for 3 weeks.
