i'm on the swim team and try to get my hair wet as little as possible since it's hard to manage. swim caps i've used dont work but i wanted to know if there was one that does, if not a swim cap then something else. and also a shampoo that removes chlorine and dirt and impurities. price doesn't matter.

  1. See these pages below .You have to experiment but dry or dryer hair is possible.

Try two caps like the team cap page suggests with a head sized bubble strap cap outside. The inner cap has got to cover the ears to really work. . You dont need to use it for every swim to help protect your hair.

If thats too tight try the swim band. Its just a regular cap cut off. The silicon ones work great for a swim band.  Both are simple easy ways to protect hair and really work!

  2. Sorry, but there is no such animal as a swim cap that keeps your hair completely dry.

As for the shampoo, Ultraswim makes a good one. I lifeguarded and taught swimming for 8 hours a day, 5-6 days a week for 5 years year-round and have blonde hair, and Ultraswim kept my hair from turning green. It's good stuff.

  3. paul mitchell shampoo 3 and 2

  4. You aren't going to find a swim cap that is going to keep your hair dry, especially through a swim practice.  I like the Aveda hair detoxifier, and a really good protein  conditioner afterwards.
