Question:

What's a good tip for a pizza delivery person?

Well, I tipped 5$ on a 20$ order. I guess that's fair.

Also, I don't think I'm really all that lazy because I wouldn't go pick up the pizza. I've been running around my house like a lunatic since 7am and thought it would be nice for my boys if I ordered some lunch. No one screams and yells "Grilled Cheese Sandwiches!" or "Chicken Noodle Soup!" when I say that's what we're having. But if I say pizza, well, suddenly I get some appreciation and a Thanks.

  1. Having worked as a delivery driver I can tell you that a tip is always appreciated- Unlike in a restaurant where tipping is mandatory. Not tipping in a restaurant is tantamount to theft because the waiters only make 2.30/hr. As a pizza delivery guy I made Minimum wage 5.15/hr, Plus $1.00 per run from the company. TIps were a nice bonus but I still made a decent wage regardless.

I usually tip about 10%, sometimes 15%. As a "regular" I do this not only to be nice but also because, after awhile, the drivers know who tips well and who does not and may generally give your order more care and priority.

That being said, pizza is bad for you. Too many carbs and too large protion sizes. Perfect for late night snacking if there's anything left over so my BEST answer is to buy some chiken instead and cook it.

  2. Here is a good tip for a pizza deliverer, get a different job.

  3. get another job

  4. Standard tipping is 15%, REGARDLESS of the amount of the purchase.  10% isn't enough of a tip, especially when they're driving to your home to bring you food that you're too lazy to go get yourself.  Anyone's who orders pizza to be delivered is lazy. So thumbs down all you want but it's true.  I'm as guilty as anyone else.

I tip more when I know the driver but not much more, only $1-$3.

If the bill's $21.23, you multiply that by 15% on any calculator which equals 3.1845.  $3.18 is your tip amount.  Or you can do what I do & round up to the whole dollar & give a $4 tip.

  5. Depends how far they come, I usually only give two or three dollars. If it takes them a long time to get there, even less!

  6. Tipping is hard for everyone.  But if you are a young person you probably don't have any extra money at all, so if you tip really small I think it is ok.

The reason that they don't tax groceries is because it is wicked bad to tax people who are poor and can hardly afford to eat.

  7. I usually tip them about $5.00. Sometimes, a little more depending on how much I order and speed of service.

    Thank you for asking.

  8. We usually tip $5, or $10 if we've ordered more than 2 pizzas.  My husband delivered pizzas when he was in graduate school, and he said men didn't get tipped nearly so much as women - so be kind :)

  9. 10 to 15% is what I give.

15% on smaller orders. 10% on more expensive ones.

  10. I give them my Sister Gomez business card about how I perform cures and things like that using spices and herbs. And they get a complimentary trial .05 oz size of my Sister Gomez love potion.

  11. I say 15%, but round it up to the next dollar.

  12. i wouldnt give no more than 5 AND PPL REMEBER IF IT WASNT FOR THEM HAVIN THAT JOB YOU WOULD HAVE TO GET UR LAZY A.S.S UP AND DRIVE AND PICK IT UP UR SELF SO DONT BE A D,ICK ABOUT IT....
